Reservation of 10% quota for the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) among General Category candidates in government jobs and educational institutions was implemented by the central government.

you should not miss the EWS quota with respect to the seats in Government Jobs like NEET , JEE, IAS, IPS etc. If you are a deserving candidate from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS).

Eligibility to claim reservation under the Economically Weaker Section Quota?


 following criterions given by the Central government to determine the eligibility of EWS. To be classified under EWS, you will need to satisfy all the criteria listed below.


1. you should belong to General Category.


2.  your family income must be below Rs 8 lakhs.


3. Agricultural land owned by your family should be less than 5 acres.


4. residential flat owned by your family should be less than 1000 sq.ft.


5. Residential plot owned by your family must be less than 100 sq.yards .


6. Residential plot owned by your family should be less than 200 sq.yards.

You will need an Income and Asset Certificate from the government body like

District Magistrate/ Collector/ Deputy Commissioner/Additional’ Deputy Commissioner/ 1st Class Stipendary  Magistrate/ Sub-Divisional Magistrate/ Taluka Magistrate Executive Magistrate/ Extra Assistant CommissionerChief Presidency Magistrate/Additional Chief Presidency Magistrate/ Presidency MagistrateRevenue Officer not below the rank of TehsildarSub-Divisional Officer or the area where the candidate and/or his family normally resides.

The Officer who issues the certificate would do the same after carefully verifying all relevant documents following due process as prescribed by the respective State.

Candidate under EWS will not get additional benefits (Eg: Relaxation in age-limit, number of attempts etc). EWS will get just the 10% reservation
quota.

  6. Brother this year in april 2020 my fathers income increased to 68k but last year in 2019 it was less than 66k ie anually less than 8lacs . Thus to get reservation in jee 2020 whuch year income is to be shown 2020 income or the last year 2019 income
